Guest WiFi marketing for bars
Grow your social following at sign-in and build a guest list to invite back.

The opportunity
Why guest WiFi works for bars
Bars are about the night. Guests arrive in groups, stay for a few drinks and spend much of the evening on their phones, sharing photos and checking in with friends. Once they leave they are hard to reach again, because most of them never told you who they are.
Wayv gives you a friendly way to ask. Guests sign in with a social account or a short form, can be prompted to follow your bar's social pages, and then land on a page of your choosing, whether that is tonight's cocktail list, a happy hour offer or an event poster.
Returning guests are recognised and connect automatically, so your list grows quietly with every visit. Because guests opt in to hear from you, you can invite them to a menu launch, a tasting night or a themed evening, instead of hoping a post catches their eye.
Benefits
How Wayv helps bars
Four ways guest WiFi marketing earns its keep for bars, from the first sign-in to the next visit.
Followers as they connect
Prompt guests to follow your bar's social pages as part of sign-in. Your audience grows while people are sitting with a drink and already in the mood to share where they are.
A landing page that sells
After sign-in, send guests to a branded page showing tonight's cocktails, a happy hour deal, your next event or your website. It works like a menu board that reaches every phone in the room.
A usable guest list
Collect emails, mobile numbers and birthdays with a short form, then group guests as new, loyal or lapsed. You see who visits often and who has gone quiet, and messages only go to guests who opted in.
Reviews and feedback
Ask guests to rate their visit by email, with a link to share a review on Google or Facebook. Every response lands in one dashboard, giving you the chance to thank people and follow up. Review tools depend on your package.
Inspiration
Campaign ideas for bars
Each idea works by email or text, and most can run automatically once set up. Our guide to WiFi marketing has more on consent, timing and measuring results.
Happy hour on the login page
Make your happy hour the first thing guests see after signing in. Change the offer as often as you like, whether it is a cocktail special or a spirit of the month.
New cocktail menu invite
Email opted-in guests when a new cocktail menu is launching, with a button that links to your booking page, so interested guests can reserve a table before the first night.
Birthday group offer
Send a birthday message with an offer for the guest and their friends, such as a welcome drink for a group booking. One birthday email can bring a full table to your bar.
Quiet night text
On a slow midweek evening, text opted-in guests a last-minute offer, such as a free drink on arrival. A message sent late afternoon can fill the room without discounting every night.

FAQ
Guest WiFi for bars: common questions
Do guests have to follow us to get online?
You can prompt guests who sign in with a social account to follow your pages as part of the journey. Guests who prefer not to use social can sign in with a short form instead, and you choose which details to ask for.
Can I put QR codes on tables and at the bar?
Yes. Wayv can create branded QR codes, in your colours and with your logo, that open your WiFi login, a review page or a sign-up form. Print them for tables, menus or posters, and create separate codes for each location.
Can I take my guest list into my own email tool?
Yes. You can view and export your whole guest database from the dashboard, and connect it to tools such as Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, Constant Contact or Zapier. Marketing messages only go to guests who have opted in.
